Bro. Kent Acquah-Abbiw was initiated as a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. on March 28, 2006 at Montclair State University, Kappa Epsilon chapter. His undergraduate degree was in Criminal Justice Studies, achieved in 2009, and is currently working on a MS in Financial Management. He currently works as a contractor for the Department of Defense in Washington, D.C. area as a Cybersecurity Analyst. His hobbies include community service, working out, and investing.

Bro. Kent is first generation born in the United States, as both his mother and father were both born and raised in Ghana, in Tema and Accra respectively. He looks forward to assisting our brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. with establishing a ground basis for a chapter in Ghana. It is an honor that to help this great organization continue to expand across the international seas and expand on our brotherhood, scholarship and service to the Ghanaian culture. Bro. Bro. Eric Nana Amo, was born in Ghana and was raised in Maryland. He attended public schools in Montgomery County, Maryland and is a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park.

Bro. Amo initiated as a member into Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated in Spring 1999 at Zeta Sigma chapter. Professionally, Bro. Amo is an Information Technology specialist with more than 25 years of experience in the private and public sectors. He is currently a principal Software Engineer Manager in the federal government. Bro. Amo is also an independent life insurance agent and principal owner of PMA Life Insurance in Maryland, selling insurance to individuals, families, and business owners.

Bro. Biney-Amissah is a successful and seasoned finance executive with more than two decades of experience in both for profit and non-profit sectors in accounting and financial management. He has worked for Synergos, Inc managing accounting duties for their various African country offices. Prior to that, Anthony worked in the Music industry as a senior accountant for Sony and Universal records. Anthony has an eMBA from the Jesse H. Jones School of Business, Texas Southern University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the Jersey City University.

Anthony pledged and became a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity in Fall, 1987 at SUNY Brockport. Anthony is the Director of the Sigma Beta Club of New York State

Bro. Damien Duchamp was born in Paris, France then grew up primarily in New York in the United States. He holds degrees from SUNY New Paltz, Clemson University, and Gwynedd Mercy University. After spending thirteen years as a college administrator he worked in the private sector with beverage and restaurant brands. This led to consulting and teaching. Dr. Duchamp has taught hospitality and tourism courses since 2010, serving as assistant professor and chair. He expanded his teaching to include distance education early on, and began teaching other faculty how to teach online. Currently he is an assistant dean for online education in the Wegmans School of Nursing at St. John Fisher University in Rochester, NY.

Bro. Duchamp became a member of the Omicron Lambda chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. on April 3, 1997 at Clemson University. A Life Member, Damien has served as acting Editor-in-Chief of the Crescent, Director of Programs and Conference Planner for the Great Lakes Region, and has held multiple chapter leadership roles in Kappa Theta Sigma (Terre Haute, IN) and Epsilon Sigma (New York City) chapters. He now serves as the Director of Education for Sigma Mu Sigma.

Dr. Duchamp is Executive Director of Hospitalented, a global hospitality education organization. In this role he produces programs in the United States and Ghana, including HospiChallenge, Not So Scary Foods, Art in a Bottle and the Airline Expo. Dr. Duchamp's dissertation is entitled Perceptions of the Hospitality and Tourism Industries by 18-24 Year Olds in Ghana, West Africa. He is committed to developing a vibrant tourism ecosystem in Ghana, and is currently writing a book on the topic.

Bro. Wayne A. Francis was initiated into Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. in the Fall of 1988 at Hunter College in the NYC Metro Chapter of Theta Gamma. As a current member of Kappa Beta Sigma Chapter (Brooklyn Sigmas) in New York, he has served as a former Co-Chair for the Sigma Beta Club for several years. Wayne is the Chief Operating Officer for Legal Services NYC, the largest Social Justice non profit Civil Law firm in the U.S., serving tens of thousands of low-income people in over 20 different practice areas. Bro. Francis has been regularly traveling to Ghana since 2008, first for humanitarian efforts to help with the Teachers Against the Malaria Epidemic (TAME) where volunteers and teachers partnered to install mosquito nets in the homes of students living in high risk areas, and later he ventured into the Small Scale Mining sector and several other philanthropic efforts promoting his own brand of local economic development projects with the goal of helping schools, small businesses and NGOs throughout Ghana. Serving as a Charter Member this is the ultimate honor come full circle for him. Wayne takes great pride in his "local name" which is also the same as one of his role models for Pan Africanism, our own brother, the Honorable Kwame Nkrumah.

I grew up in three countries: the United Kingdom, Jamaica and USA. I was born in the United Kingdom. I've been married for 21 and 1/2 years to my wife Paula and we have three children; Jalen, Nia and Jai.

I'm currently the Director of Customer Success and Implementation at a Education Technology SaaS company named Formative. Spent the last 20 years in SaaS and Service operations at various leadership positions ranging in industrious from Healthcare, Travel Risk Management, Transit and most recently Education Technology. I'm a former track and field All American at LSU. I love international culture, traveling, learning, all things international Afro diaspora, environment and sustainability. I'm a lifelong supporter of Liverpool Football Club and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Born a native New Yorker, educated in the Manning, South Carolina Public School system, and reared in the Westminster Presbyterian Church (USA) and Clarendon County, South Carolina community, The Rev. Dr. Greg B. Jones is a graduate and former student body president of Manning High School. Upon graduation, he entered Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina where he matriculated for three years, distinguishing himself as an R. J. Reynolds Scholar, inductee in the National Dean’s List, Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges & Universities, and a member of the NAACP and the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., one of the D9 Greek-letter organizations. Being one of three second-semester freshmen responsible for the reinvigoration and resurgence of the Delta Alpha Chapter on the campus, Greg was instrumental in instituting social action programs and activities that benefitted the Winston-Salem community and advanced the popularity and impact of the Fraternity on the campus and the city. He was
honored with a Brother of the Year award for his outstanding contributions and achievements.
 

Because of his love of learning and his desire to be the best instrument he can be for the God who called him to serve in ministry, after completing a Bachelor of Arts degree at Hunter College of the City University of New York in Music Theater & Film, Greg completed a Certificate in Christian Education & Urban Ministry at New York Theological Seminary with
high honors, where he was the recipient of awards for Outstanding Student in Pastoral Care & Counseling, Outstanding Student in Church History, and Outstanding Student in Preaching. On the heels of this accomplishment, he received his Master of Divinity degree (cum laude) from Princeton Theological Seminary, where he was also appointed a teaching fellow for two of his three years there. He completed his doctoral degree in systematic theology (summa cum laude) at The Theological School of Drew University.

Vocationally, Dr. Jones most recently served as Pastor of Ministries and Christian Education at The Canaan Baptist Church of Christ in Harlem, where he had a prior appointment as the Liturgist and Chief of Pastoral Staff for the civil rights icon, The Rev. Dr. Wyatt Tee Walker, Pastor Emeritus. He was also a Campus Chaplain for Hallelujah!, the protestant worship community in the African-American religious tradition, and member of the Religious Life Department for the prestigious Lawrenceville School in Lawrenceville, NJ, and an adjunct professor in Theology at UTS The Interfaith Seminary in New York City.

Professionally, he has had the benefit of over 30 years in the corporate sector in such industries as advertising and financial services, and works currently as the Global Manager of
Information Security Communications, Awareness and Training for the Anywhere Real Estate corporation (formerly Realogy Holdings Corporation). In this role, he is the chief educational
professional responsible for empowering over 75,000 colleagues worldwide with information to safeguard and protect the company’s information and financial resources.
 

Personally, he is an avid traveler having visited 67 countries and 41 states in the U.S., a tennis fanatic, a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and still loves all things New York, including occasionally the Giants and the Jets. With his life’s motto to “Never disappoint God, and never disappoint my ancestors,”
Greg strives to live a life that, like Jacob’s ladder, has every round going higher and higher.

Bro. Dr. Clement Kwakye is a native of Ghana and was initiated as a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. on March 11, 2006. He graduated from the State University College at Buffalo in 2007 with a degree in Fine Arts/Communications. Bro. Kwakye has since gone on to obtain his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Medaille College and graduated in 2021 with a Doctoral degree in Leadership and Policy from Niagara University. He was awarded membership into Kappa Delta Pi, an International Honor Society in Education due to his academic background which includes the publication of “Do Not Digitally Forward “Off-Color” Jokes, Innuendoes, or Possible Insensitive Remarks. Bro. Kwakye is an entrepreneur at heart with a business in the recycling industry and serves as the Director of Operations for a growing Chiropractic practice in Buffalo, New York. He supervises all clinical operations, ensures the organization complies with all Federal, State, local laws and regulations relative to services, determines appropriate policies and how best to meet operational needs, participates in the planning and operationalizing of strategic goals, in addition to developing and maintaining relationships with community leaders to advance the mission and programs of the practice. Bro. Kwakye is affiliated and sits on the Board of Trustees for Health Sciences Charter School and Heal International (Helping Everyone Achieve Livelihood). He is a believer in scholarship and service and passionate about his ability to help others who are underserved, marginalized, and oppressed by society. With values such as integrity, awareness, conceptualization, and stewardship, Bro. Kwakye recognizes and understands the feelings and emotions experienced by the people he serves daily. Bro. Kwakye is a very humble person and is thankful for the opportunities that has been presented to him throughout his professional and academic career and look forward to more opportunities in the future to continue his passion for helping others.

Bro. Obed Lartey is a Spring 2015 initiate of the Delta Zeta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated. He is a native of the Ga Tribe in Ghana. He is a graduate of the School of Business at Norfolk State University in Norfolk Virginia with a bachelor’s in business marketing. He also attained is Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Management. He currently serves on the board for Sinava Inc. He is the great great-grandson of King Tackie Tawiah I, the 1^st King of the Ga State in Accra.

Gregory Stephenson is a Government & Labor/Employee Relations professional, with extensive experience and expertise in navigating and managing multiple complexities of legislative and regulatory challenges. Experienced in union and management disputes, arbitrations, mediations, and contract negotiations and in the development of effective strategies and practical business solutions. He is the past Director of Labor and Employee Relations for the 92nd Street YMWHA, a non-profit organization in New York City. Gregory is a graduate of the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Texas Southern University and holds both BS and AA degrees from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida. He also holds numerous certifications in negotiation, collective bargaining and contract administration from Harvard University and Cornell University. He resides in Brooklyn, New York, and was previously a member of the Kappa Beta Sigma/Brooklyn Alumni Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
